BFI’s Out At The Pictures

The British Film Institute screens LGBT films every month, and this month is no exception.

Billed as films ‘that might not otherwise find a place outside the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival’, the movies are a mix of old and new.

This week why not try out The Haunting, an adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s ‘The Haunting of Hill House’.  It’s showing on Sunday, December 13 and costs £9 for adults and £6.50 for students and the unwaged.

If you can’t make it this week, another film that’s coming up over the next few weeks is Can’t Stop The Music, which is a film starring The Village People.  Worth a watch just for the anthems ‘YMCA’ and ‘In The Navy’….

Can’t Stop The Music is showing on December 17 and 19.  Check out the website for more details, and films that are coming up in January.

Stuff you should know: The BFI is situated on London’s Southbank.  Nearest tube is Waterloo.
