No Radio Show Today!

Sorry guys, but LondonLovelies won’t be broadcast today.

I’ll be back next Thursday at 2pm with a fun-filled show though so make sure you tune in at www.smokeradio.co.uk

On the subject of Smoke Radio – just want to say a HUGE congratulations to the guys for winning not one but TWO awards at the Student Radio Awards on Tuesday night.

Smoke picked up best live broadcast and best marketing and branding, so well done everyone!

Shake Those Blues Away

I’ve just come back from a great evening out at The Blues Kitchen in Camden.

It’s easy to find on Camden High Street, and worth the outing – great food, good cocktails and live bands every night.

The plates of food are massive and very good value for money (you could probably share a main) – most are around £9 or thereabouts – and the menu includes burgers, BBQ chicken and good ol’ Po Boys (that’s a sub sandwich for those of you who don’t know).  There’s also a brunch menu for those lazy weekends.

We saw a great live band on, and the performances start around 10pm each night.  You can check out the website for upcoming events.

There was a very mixed crowd in tonight – it was pretty busy for a Wednesday – but the atmosphere was great.  Definitely worth a look-in if you’re a live music fan!

Nearest Tube: Camden Town or Mornington Crescent

Sweet as Pumpkin Pie

To all our American readers (and those of you who just want to get involved): LondonLovelies wishes you a very merry Thanksgiving holiday!

Last year, I was up in the Catskills region of New York state, celebrating with friends round a home-made Thanksgiving dinner.

Not all of us can be so lucky this year, so if you’re still looking for somewhere to eat, Time Out has done a good ‘best Thanksgiving meals‘ feature you should check out.

The Diner, which I’ve mentioned before, is also doing a Thanksgiving menu, and View London also have a helpful list on other places to go if you’re stuck for ideas.

Whatever you decide to do, have a great holiday! x
